What is Oncoforum Urology?
Introduction
With the increasing workload in clinical practice and the high number of urological congresses which take place throughout the year, it is very hard for urologists, radiotherapists and medical oncologists to attend every congress and to keep up-to-date with all new scientific information relevant to their own clinical practice. Bearing this in mind, the Oncoforum Urology programme has been developed as a service to urologists. The programme is supported by an educational grant of Astellas Europe Ltd.
Approach
The Oncoforum Urology programme aims at providing specialists the highlights (in the form of slide sets in powerpoint) from major urological and oncological congresses on oncological urology (bladder cancer, renal cancer, penile cancer, prostate cancer and testis cancer). For the Oncoforum Urology programme, a number of urologists, a radiotherapist and an oncologist, called Oncoforum reporters, will attend the annual meetings from the EAU, AUA, ASCO and ASTRO.
The reporters select, attend and review the most interesting presentations and posters on oncologic urology presented at these congresses. Based on their review, summary slide resources for each organ are prepared. New slide resources will be available on www.oncoforum.org within two months after each annual meeting.
